#leeminho The Assassin(s) has returned to No. 1 at the Korean box office, drawing 55,018 moviegoers on October 1 and bringing its total audience to more than 1.82 million. The fictional thriller is inspired by the 1974 assassination attempt on then-President Park Chung-hee, which resulted in the death of First Lady Yuk Young-soo, while also using fictional characters and situations. The film has faced criticism from some political and civic groups over its interpretation of the historical event. Its production team said the movie was not made for a specific political purpose and separately denied claims that Chinese capital financed the project. Despite the debate, the film remains close to reaching 2 million admissions. (KStarTrend.com) #TheAssassins #KoreanMovie #KoreanBoxOffice #BoxOffice
